Matthew Simon Wendell founded Dell Manufacturing in 1957 as an aerospace supplier and relocated the business twice while it grew, moving to its present location in the Farmington Industrial Park in 1967. He remained actively at Dell until his retirement in 1986 and he continued to offer advice and guidance to his sons.

The company is presently managed by the 2 sons of the original founder.
Mark Wendell oversees the sales and production of the product.
James Wendell oversees the quality and continuous improvement functions as well as significantly helping the process engineering areas.
